My love affair with radio began in school when along with three friends we built a transmitter and from my bedroom began broadcasting after school.
However we soon found ourselves in trouble when neighbours started complaining about interference on their TVs and called the radio authority in who removed our equipment.
It was then into Hospital Radio in Warrington and Radio General were I was instrumental in setting up outside broadcasts and taking live local news from the newspaper in Warrington. During this period I was lucky in doing two summers working for the English Section of Radio Prague and some freelance work with local BBC stations.
I love doing Live Lunch and other shows on City Beat as I meet people from all walks of life doing brilliant things to help others and an opportunity for people to have air time to discuss whats happening in the county.
